Case Study - Manchester United

Manchester United is one of the most recognisable football clubs in the world, with communications that reach colleagues, supporters and communities across multiple platforms and countries. In that context, inclusive communication matters because it shapes who can access, understand and feel part of the story being shared.

I worked with Manchester United to develop a practical inclusive communications partnership that started with onsite delivery at Old Trafford and is continuing through further online support. From the outset, the relationship was collaborative, with time invested in understanding their teams, the pace they work at and the need for accessibility to feel relevant, usable and easy to apply.

The work helped turn accessibility from a broad principle into clear everyday behaviours that busy content teams could embed into their communications. The impact was immediate, with Manchester United seeing a genuine shift in how people considered accessibility and 100% of post programme survey respondents saying they intended to make changes to their working practices.

For me, this is where inclusion work becomes commercially valuable. It supports stronger communication, better audience experience and more confident teams, while building a partnership that can continue to grow with the organisation’s needs.

Client feedback

“Working with Garry and Think Inclusion Consulting helped us develop inclusive communications training that was both engaging and practical for our busy content teams. His collaborative approach, inclusion expertise and practical understanding of large, complex organisations meant he quickly grasped our challenges and delivered support that genuinely made a difference.” Rachel Fraser, Internal Communications and Inclusion Director

Why this matters

This partnership shows the value of making inclusion practical, relevant and embedded. When accessibility is translated into everyday communication habits, people can act on it immediately and organisations can build more inclusive experiences for the audiences they serve.

If your organisation wants inclusive communications support that is collaborative, commercially relevant and focused on real behaviour change, I can help you build a partnership that works for your teams and your audience.
